Here at Forever Fit Folks, we believe that working out as a family is the first springboard to starting off right! Being outdoors, modeling fresh air and exercise, sets the tone for easy, breezy fitness and fun times as a family. Gather up the little ones, call in the grandparents and do moderate exercise while enjoying time together!
Oftentimes, we throw that phrase around, but it truly is never too late! Our bodies are remarkably regenerative, and something like wall pilates or chair yoga would be a good start. Seek out a gentle routine that gets your blood flowing and build from there. Take a look below at real people who've turned their fitness around dramatically later in life for inspiration!
Practice your Midlife Mix-up! No matter where you're at, you can be who you want to be. Midlife used to be seen as the start of an inevitable decline, but now it's seen as what can be the beginning of a powerful new chapter. Use your midlife to gather all your strength and experience in life to really rev up your engine!
JOAN MACDONALD

Edna May Giordano
Edna is from Kelowna, Canada. She retired in 1997, and began working out every day. Now in her 90's, Edna's maintained her independence, has 5 children, 21 grandchildren and keeps up with them all!
Edna went viral on TikTok recently when her daughter posted an inspirational video of Edna's fitness routine.
Richard Morgan
This 93 year old Irishman is as fit as a 40 year old - no joke! Not only is Richard a four-time world champion in indoor rowing, but he has the aerobic engine of a healthy 30 or 40-year old.
Richard was a onetime baker with creaky knees who didn't take up regular exercise until he was in his 70's.
He exemplifies that it's never too late to start, and that you can reverse your aging!
WALL PILATES FOR SENIORS COULD BE YOUR FIRST STEP!
All of the people we've listed who've inspired us, have several things in common. They started their fitness later in life, they started small, built up their fitness routine and stuck with it. Most of all, they ended up showing fantastic results! And you can too!
